  • Hair - should always be pulled out of the face (bun, ponytail, half-up, headband, etc.).

    Shoes - we are hoping to dance as barefoot as possible! Barefoot dancing allows the sensors on our feet to connect to the floor and find stability.

    Toe undies, half-shoes, ballet slippers, or jazz shoes are optional for Jazz, Contemporary, Worship Lyrical, and Lyrical classes.

    Clothing - all clothing should be modest and formfitting, easy to move in. That includes leggings, shorts, skirts, leotards, and some sweatpants (if they don't get in the way).

Dress Code For:

  • Hip Hop

  • Cardio Dance Fitness

  • Hip Hop

    Same as clothing above, with the addition of shoes. Comfortable, clean street shoes such as sneakers, converse, tennis shoes, etc. are required. Any color is fine. Students should keep the bottoms of their shoes quite clean so as not to scratch our floor.

    Cardio Dance Fitness

    clothes to move and sweat in! Tennis shoes/gym shoes recommended.

Dress Code for:

  • Ballet

  • Boys: White shirt, black pants, black ballet shoes

    All Girls: Ballet pink or skin-tone tights and shoes, see below for leo colors.

    Tinies and Littles Ballet:
    Pink, lavender or light blue leotard, skirts optional.

    Levels 1-5:

    We are beginning a two-year transition to black leotards for levels 1-5.

    Until Fall 2028, dancers may wear either their level leotard color or a black leotard of any style. New leotards purchased should be black.

    Ballet skirts are encouraged. We have a basket of loaner skirts in the studio for anyone to use and return after class.

    Hair must be tied tied securely away from the face. Ballet buns are preferred to minimize distractions from hair while turning. Jewelry should be kept minimal for safety (small, short pendants and stud earrings are ok).

    Adult Ballet:
    Leggings and a top or other tight fitting clothing are easier for assisting with technique, but looser clothing is welcome as well. There is no specific color requirement for clothing in Adult Ballet. Pink or skin-tone ballet slippers are recommended and will be required for the show.

Dress Code For:

  • Tap

  • Tinies/Littles: 3-4 and 5-6

    • Comfortable, form-fitting clothes. Option to wear a leotard, ballet skirt, and tights

    • Black tap shoes - any style or brand (we recommend Capezio)
